Altum Angelfish Hybrid

From time to time we request altum angels from our exporter in Colombia and the fishermen catch a hybrid species. These are mix of the leopoldi and altum and have the strength and superior aquarium adaptation ability of the leopoldi. These angels also have the long fins and narrow profile of the altum, but without the characteristic “snout”.  Doubtless these angels will not get to the massive height of true altums, but they are much much easier to handle than the parent species.
