Butterfly koi do not have the specific color patterns of the show koi but they have their own unique bright patterns. These hybrid koi feature long flowing fins whichgive the koi their name.  Due to their flowing body shape many pond owners prefer the butterfly hybrid koi over traditional sho koi. The quality specification is Select. Butterfly koi are not graded via A, AA, AAA like sho koi as their patterns are less distinguishable.
