Chitimba Cichlid

The beautiful, aggressive, and active chitimba thick bar cichlid originates in the Chitimba Bay in Lake Malawi. These African cichlids are territorial and will need an area with a few rocks to call home and keep out trespassers. The juvenile chitimba cichlid features broad black and white bands with yellow fins. As the cichlid grows the bands turn blue and the fins develop a deeper gold color.
